With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, our team here at Ledbury Surveys Ltd work across the Birmingham and West Midlands area to provide a wide range of services. In addition to the removal and management plans we provide, one of the key areas that we specialise in is asbestos demolition surveys.
We are able to attend your site prior to any demolition, refurbishment or upgrade work commencing to assess the presence of ACMs.

Whether a property is going to be refurbished or demolished, an asbestos demolition survey or an asbestos refurbishment survey is required by law due to the risks posed by ACMs found in the buildings. They ensure that the location will be fit for reoccupation or that all ACMs are removed prior to demolition (where practicable). With these surveys, we identify the location, condition and amount of all ACMs. Due to the intrusive nature of these surveys and the possible disturbance they may cause to ACMs, the areas to be surveyed must be vacated. Both our asbestos demolition surveys and asbestos refurbishment surveys ensure that such work will be executed only by our BOHS trained surveyors following strict HSE regulations and guidelines, and that everyone will remain safe from works undertaken on the premises and/or equipment where necessary.
How can we assist you in commercial and residential asbestos surveys?
In contrast to the management survey, Asbestos refurbishment surveys and asbestos demolition surveys are greatly detailed. These surveys are required on buildings built prior to 2000 before carrying out any construction work, unless there is any evidence to state the absence of asbestos. We are the leading experts in asbestos demolition surveys and asbestos refurbishment surveys as we complete the works in accordance with the HSE regulations and guidelines, from ensuring to list the location of ACMs as well as those ACMs hidden behind other materials, to sending any suspected materials to be tested in UKAS accredited laboratories for analysis. This latter action allows contractors to understand what they may be dealing with. After the survey is undertaken, we provide a clear written report including photos and drawings that will detail the precise location, condition and extent of ACMs, ensuring to mention any that are in a dangerous state of repair.
If you are the landlord, tenant or managing agent of any commercial property, it may be your responsibility to manage asbestos by law, unless the lease or contract states otherwise. We serve both homes and industrial properties and treat all our clients with excellent customer service.
